Animalito Land takes on a male-dominated street art world

I got lost in all the links and clicks from one blog to another so I can't tell you how exactly how I stumbled upon Animalito Land's graffiti art. I don't know much about her, except that she's a fine-looking Argentine who draws delightful creatures on paper, screen, and walls. Yes, street art is being increasingly taken over by hot chicks and women are literally leaving their mark in the public sphere.

Animalito Land also does character design for TV ads and toys, digital color for movies and ads, concept art for videogames, art direction for interactive applications, and illustration for printed media. Turns out you can make something pretty cool when you pour boiling, liquid metal on top of an anthill. Harsh for the ants, yes, but according to Anthill Art , these insects are "harmful to the environment and their nests are exterminated by the millions in the United States using poisons, gasoline and fire, boiling water, and very rarely molten aluminum."

Meet Gary Hug, the backyard astronomer

The small shed behind Gary Hug's home in Topeka, Kansas looks like an ordinary barn. But at night, the structure becomes an observatory, which he built himself. Gary has so far discovered 294 asteroids (according to Wikipedia ) and has tracked countless others. Check out this interview from Great Big Story , a YouTube channel dedicated to the "untold, overlooked and flat-out amazing."
