No, you got the colors all wrong — do it over.

You may have seen the work of Bradley Theodore and not even known it. His dynamic brushstrokes and vivid color palette remind me of Dia de los Muertos, and his art have been used on bags, shoes, jackets, whisky bottles, even luxury vehicles. Rich as hell and run out of things to spend your money on? Consider hiring Theodore to transform your Rolls-Royce into a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Welded Chain Art by Young-Deok Seo

It takes real talent to transform welded chains into sculptures. I would probably end up in the hospital if I tried. I’ll just leave it to the experts, like South Korean artist Young-Deok Seo ( previously ). If I'm loaded (and my wife wouldn't throw me out of the house for doing it,) I'd totally want this meditating woman in my front yard and the massive Buddha head in the living room.

This is the exact kind of girl you'd want on your side in the event of an apocalypse.

Here's a wonderfully relaxing and satisfying video of a woman building a bamboo tree house from scratch entirely without modern tools or equipment. The 45-minute clip also proves that bamboo is a highly versatile material in the right hands. Man, this is the treehouse I always wanted as a child, but got a blanket fort instead.

Here's a trippy reimagining of the zodiac animals.

These are the animals from the zodiac calendar as created by Japanese artist feebee . I can't even begin to imagine how long painting these hybrid creatures on wood panel must take, but the results are pretty amazing. Some of them look terrifying, some aren't scary at all, and one looks like the Pokemon Meowth. They're all eye-catching, but none of them mean as much to me as the one representing my own sign, the Sheep (also known as the Goat or Ram). The twelve animal signs represent twelve different types of personalities. It is said that people born in the Year of the Sheep can be very indecisive and lazy. Hmmm, I guess Chinese zodiac is pretty much legit.

Lightning, Screaming, and Annoying Guitar Solo

I am not, nor have I ever been a fan of The Pretty Reckless — not that there's anything wrong with the band, just, what's to like about their music? Wait, is there something to like? But I do have a serious thing for Taylor Momsen. I like her face and hair, her attitude and her sexuality and because she played the role of Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas .

Clay Cuteness

I thought I should have a second post featuring Alice Stewardson , this time I'm focusing on her lovely mugs and planters because they are full of creative joy. Perfect for my coffee and succulents.

Fractal Paintings by Will Teather

There's plenty of Will Teather's work I wanted to feature here, but I'd rather leave you to lurk around the British artist's website and instead I'll focus your attention to his impressive and sometimes sacred fractal paintings.  Each piece was done with oil and, if you don't have time for a movie or to read a book, Will's paintings are easy ways to kick back and escape reality for a few short minutes. He explains: "These lattices reference both postmodern pixilation within painting, as influenced by digital culture, and the longstanding idea of an underlying order within both visual art and our wider perception of reality. They are also informed by the obsessive exploration of geometric patterns by the outsider painter Eugene Andolsek and the automated techniques of Sol Lewitt, who would pass instructions onto assistants who then created his drawings.

The Adorable Sculptures of Yen Yen Lo

These images are from a series of wall sculptures created by Yen Yen Lo . Here you can see her intricately textured ceramic pieces, looking downright adorable. Yen Yen Lo's eye for the unique and whimsical is delightful. Apparently they are not intended for kids under 16. Fifteen-year-olds cannot be trusted with fragile stuff. Get them a Funko Pop instead.

Joie de vivre

Emily Powell has made a name for herself with her series of simple, colorful and exuberant paintings. Her passion pours out directly onto the canvas, inspiring the viewer to do something fun.  Emily has exhibited with the Royal Society of Art and collaborated with MoMA and British Museum. Whether it's a coastal landscape, a cute animal, or an explosion of florals, her paintings will surely light up your day.

Giant sculpture in Lebanon draws mixed opinions

This is the 82-feet-tall sculpture named The Gesture by Lebanese artist Nadim Karam . It was created using scrap metal from the wreckage following last year's explosion at the Beirut Port, which killed more than 200 people and wounded 6,500 others. The 35-ton statue depicts a giant made of ashes holding out a flower with water flowing from it. It will serve as a memorial to the victims of the blast that devastated the city exactly a year ago today. But, while the massive art piece has been commended for its message, not everyone is happy about it. WATCH:

Plants and Jazz

From the same guys who brought us that horse-leech eating earthworm video , this is a time-lapse compilation of plants growing from seeds. Boxlapse photographed various plants for 520 days and turned all the images into this stunning 8-minute clip. That's some serious shi*t. FYI, I've never done anything for 520 days straight but delete all those marketing emails.

Illegible, But Pretty Awesome

This is a series of videos demonstrating typewriter art as performed by James Cook . The UK-based artist and architecture student has spent seven years honing his skills on vintage typewriters, creating hundreds of detailed drawings from letters, numbers and symbols. James receives commissions from across the globe, and each artwork can take anywhere between a week and a month to complete. Impressive, right? I haven't used a typewriter in over two decades, so I think I'm going to break something if I try to operate it.

Whirlpools

John Marin is the artist behind these grayscale portraits, all of which were created using oil paints. I have always been interested in realistic black and white paintings, but the young Filipino artist takes my penchant for achromatic art to a new level with his rough spiral lines. There's no denying the amazing skill that this guy's got. Check out more of John's paintings (and other creative works) on his Instagram .
