Chris Cornell is an outlaw in new music video

The last time Chris Cornell released a solo album, it was a disaster. Remember his unlikely team up with Timbaland? Now, the Soundgarden frontman is back with a new (and hopefully better) project, and has revealed the official music video for his song Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart, the debut single from his forthcoming album Higher Truth. The video has a western theme to it and without giving too much away, a bizarre plot twist.

Katy Ann Gilmore is a Los Angeles-based visual artist who specializes in making extraordinary illustrations on paper and large scale murals using micron and gel pens. Her elaborate line work is painstakingly methodical, layering strokes of the pen in varying directions to create amazing shapes and topography that look like they are covered with intricate mesh netting. I was wondering how many pen strokes does it take to complete just one of these drawings, so I did some research and found out that her small 5 in. by 7 in. illustrations typically take a few hours, while an 11 in. by 14 in. picture can take anywhere from 10-25 hours. "My hand does hurt a bit after marathon sessions, but never anything too crazy," she told Lisa Congdon. Distorted ceramic sculptures by Jennie Jieun Lee

Sometimes when I stare long enough at a beautiful sculpture, I start to imagine it melting. Jennie Jieun Lee is one step ahead, she has already done it for me. The Korean-American artist creates some seriously fascinating ceramic pieces covered in abstract paintings. I won't pretend for a minute to understand everything about her art, but these distorted slip cast busts are a treat to look at. After getting her diploma at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, Jennie worked in the fashion industry for a long time before rediscovering her love of clay. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S. and abroad at galleries such as Cooper Cole, Toronto; Galerie Lefebvre et Fils, Paris; Jacob Bjorn Gallery, Arhus and Anonymous Gallery, New York. Enigmatic Shapes and Psychedelic Patterns

To say that I love Sanagi 's work is an understatement. Looking at her art feels sort of therapeutic, and I find her drawings refreshingly intricate. They're trippy, psychedelic, and resemble something that you might see under a microscope. Not much is Googleable about Sanagi, but that's fine. There aren't many artists these days that still pull off the whole mysterious vibe, so I commend her for that. By the way... they're all hand-drawn with pen and ink.
