I recently discovered Raven Kwok's art and now I'm infatuated with it. Raven (aka Guo, Ruiwen) is a visual artist, animator and creative programmer, whose artistic and research interest mainly focus on exploring generative visual aesthetic brought by computer algorithms and software processes. His latest project, a lyric video for Greatness by Karma Fields featuring Talib Kweli, is such an awesome visual experience, and the music isn't bad either. Enjoy!

A visit to Beijing and a stay at the Sunrise Kempinski are now on my bucket list

Located on the shore of Yanqi Lake, the Sunrise Kempinski is housed in a bold, spherical structure that looks like a scallop from a side angle. It has 306 guest rooms and suites spread across 21 floors, and is covered with more than 10,000 glass panels which are meant to reflect the hotel's surrounding mountains, forestry and lake. Chief designer Zhang Hai Ao of Shanghai Huadu Architect Design Company collaborated with a team of more than 60 individuals from around the world to build the luxurious hotel. Its construction took two years, and required 9,300 workers to complete.

Turns out you can make something pretty cool when you pour boiling, liquid metal on top of an anthill. Harsh for the ants, yes, but according to Anthill Art , these insects are "harmful to the environment and their nests are exterminated by the millions in the United States using poisons, gasoline and fire, boiling water, and very rarely molten aluminum."
