The internet is obsessed with this teen who transforms herself into iconic female characters


Tons of girls have an Instagram account full of self-portraits, and Annelies van Overbeek is no exception. But there's a twist: the 17-year-old fashion blogger from Belgium transforms herself into iconic female characters from all ages. From Sabrina's Audrey Hepburn to The Great Gatsby's Carey Mulligan, there's no look that Annelies can't accomplish with the right make-up, hairstyle, outfit and accessories.

Her IG account has accumulated more than 60,000 followers, many of whom have expressed deep admiration for her ability to manipulate her facial expressions to completely turn herself into vintage and historic personalities. Check out more of her photos and give her a follow @bewitchedquills.

To say that I love Sanagi 's work is an understatement. Looking at her art feels sort of therapeutic, and I find her drawings refreshingly intricate. They're trippy, psychedelic, and resemble something that you might see under a microscope. Not much is Googleable about Sanagi, but that's fine. Yen Yen Lo's eye for the unique and whimsical is delightful. Apparently they are not intended for kids under 16. Fifteen-year-olds cannot be trusted with fragile stuff. Get them a Funko Pop instead.

The Minnesota-based artist has a knack for blending ink and acrylic paint in striking combinations to create abstract human forms with an exciting curiosity surging through them. Her pieces brim with courage and exhibit the inherent freedom of her subconscious. Sometimes I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but it still fascinates me.
