Axel Ejsmont's minimalist skin art

There's a "wave" of minimalism happening right now – even on tattoos.

Marta Slawinska (aka Axel Ejsmont) is a Berlin-based Polish illustrator and tattoo artist who creates simple yet well thought out skin art. Her influences range from Persian rug designs, Indian tribal patterns, as well contemporary artist Louise Despont.

Other than tattoos, Ejsmont also creates drawings and contributes illustrations for several European magazines and newspapers.

It's Beautiful, But Also Could Explode

Ah, Taal Lake. Admirable, breathtaking, a perfect postcard of tranquility. And then you remember. Oh right, there's a volcano inside the lake, inside an island, inside another body of water. Acorn-shaped meditation pod

Created by LFZ Studio , this giant acorn in France is a cool space to escape the digital deluge. For some, the wooden pod is a temporary escape from reality. For others, it’s a nice place to take a nap. And for a select few, it’s a nerve-wracking dive into claustrophobia. The pod blends perfectly with the forest and the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds create a natural soundtrack for meditation. In this sanctuary, time seems to slow down, allowing for a deeper connection with oneself and nature. |h/t: Design Boom |
