We all know Meryl Streep can sing, but she's not exactly a guitarist. In her latest film, Ricki and the Flash, the 66-year-old actress plays an aging rocker who attempts to reconcile with her neglected kids. To be convincing, Streep spent six months learning to play the guitar and according to director Jonathan Demme, she sings and plays on all 10 tracks featured in the Diablo Cody-penned flick. A new video, below, shows the multiple Oscar winner getting a guitar lesson from Neil Young, who also happens to be an aging rocker.
The brainchild of Swedish musician Martin Molin, the Wintergartan Marble Machine , is a bizarre music box that allows the user to play tunes using a hand crank and 2,000 steel marbles. The Rube Goldberg'esque contraption features a vibraphone, bass, drums, cymbals and other instruments that play a score programmed into a 32 bar loop comprised of LEGO Technic parts. It's mesmerizing, and you can watch how they built it over here . [h/t: MailOnline ]
