Meryl Streep gets guitar lesson from Neil Young

We all know Meryl Streep can sing, but she's not exactly a guitarist. In her latest film, Ricki and the Flash, the 66-year-old actress plays an aging rocker who attempts to reconcile with her neglected kids. To be convincing, Streep spent six months learning to play the guitar and according to director Jonathan Demme, she sings and plays on all 10 tracks featured in the Diablo Cody-penned flick. A new video, below, shows the multiple Oscar winner getting a guitar lesson from Neil Young, who also happens to be an aging rocker.

French supermarket promotes 'ugly' fruits and vegetables to reduce food waste

You probably have a hard time remembering because growers usually throw out any misshapen produce, since grocery stores only want flawless (or almost flawless) crops. If there are lumps, bruises, or other deformities, retailers are likely to reject them. To raise awareness against food waste, Marcel Paris introduced a brilliant ad campaign called the Inglorious Fruits and Vegetables . The agency created these posters for Intermarche, France's third largest supermarket chain, to inform people that though these foods might by ugly, they are as good as any others.
