Rose McGowan gets weird and naked in debut music video


Here's Rose McGowan reminding us all that she used to date Marilyn Manson. The 42-year-old actress-turned-filmmaker-turned-musician has teamed up with Spun director Jonas Åkerlund for her first music video, RM486. The clip contains some nudity and features McGowan portraying multiple eccentric characters, including a white, hairless alien-like creature. Here's what the former Charmed star had to say about the video:
"All five characters in the video are versions of me. All are pieces that make up my whole — an artist, a public figure, and most importantly, as a person. I’m pushing back at the idea of what I am supposed to be, I want to expose people to art in a real way, and I want to change the idea of what beauty is. There is true power in art and true power in we who believe in it."

The Adorable Sculptures of Yen Yen Lo

Yen Yen Lo's eye for the unique and whimsical is delightful. Apparently they are not intended for kids under 16. Fifteen-year-olds cannot be trusted with fragile stuff. Get them a Funko Pop instead.

This app turns freehand sketches into realistic photos

Artificial Intelligence is undoubtedly changing the nature of creative processes. Computer algorithms have generated numerous paintings, poetry, music, and even movie scripts. While some people could not keep their hands off these innovations, the question whether AI-created art can really be deemed as art still lingers around. If you want to create photorealistic portraits but you're struggling to see improvement in your depictions, AI seems to have an answer to your problem. As stated on its project page, the DeepFaceDrawing app "allows users with little training in drawing to produce high-quality images from rough or even incomplete freehand sketches." Check out the demo video below: Impressive. But I still believe that while machines can produce stunning visuals, it doesn't mean they will replace artists.
