Phlegm's intriguing new mural in Wellington

Sheffield-based street artist Phlegm was recently in New Zealand where he painted this huge wall for the Fringe Festival organized in the beautiful city of Wellington. The mural shows various film projectors and steampunk contraptions handled by two odd creatures, all reminiscent of the British artist's imagery. Aside from street art, Phlegm also creates comics and books of his ink drawings. I highly recommend you check out his blog and follow him on Instagram for maximum awesomesauce.

Thanks, @StreetKiwi!

Acorn-shaped meditation pod

Created by LFZ Studio , this giant acorn in France is a cool space to escape the digital deluge. For some, the wooden pod is a temporary escape from reality. For others, it’s a nice place to take a nap. And for a select few, it’s a nerve-wracking dive into claustrophobia. The pod blends perfectly with the forest and the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds create a natural soundtrack for meditation. In this sanctuary, time seems to slow down, allowing for a deeper connection with oneself and nature. |h/t: Design Boom |

It's Beautiful, But Also Could Explode

Ah, Taal Lake. Admirable, breathtaking, a perfect postcard of tranquility. And then you remember. Oh right, there's a volcano inside the lake, inside an island, inside another body of water. It's like an  Inception movie directed by mother nature, and frankly, I'm pretty sure she's just messing with us at this point.
