The Art of Richey Beckett

Richey Beckett is an illustrator who works and lives in South Wales, United Kingdom. Working in record covers, movie posters, and screen printed artwork, Rickey has proven himself as a prolific artist trusted by a number of clients.
Metallica, Grateful Dead, Mastodon, New Republic Magazine, and The British Film Institute are just some of the groups who have utilized his talent.

On his bio, it reads: "Beckett uses traditional pen and ink methods to create lavishly detailed pieces of black and white illustration. Taking influence from historic biblical, literary and natural history illustrators and engravers such as Doré, Durer, Audubon and Bewick, along with the decorative flair of Art Nouveau, he creates his own organic world which expands with each new piece."

If you're into vintage erotic art, follow Cold Meat

It's not just the pictures of celebrities in skimpy outfits that makes Instagram interesting. But if those are the only people you follow, then you are missing out. The social media platform is full of some of the most talented artists of the moment, but one account that truly caught my eye is cold___meat , which is dedicated to vintage pictures of BDSM art and erotica.  The account has been cancelled several times, but it's alive and kicking and is showing no sign of slowing down. Dazed recently interviewed Daryl, the mysterious founder of Cold Meat, to learn more about his background, his fear of another shutdown, and his mission to make "formerly clandestine and underground erotica available to a wider audience." Gary has so far discovered 294 asteroids (according to Wikipedia ) and has tracked countless others. Check out this interview from Great Big Story , a YouTube channel dedicated to the "untold, overlooked and flat-out amazing."

Delightful photo series shows what a Stormtrooper's life on Earth looks like

How does Eric the Stormtrooper spend his time? He feeds sandwiches to the dinosaurs, dresses up as Batman, travels to beautiful places and plays the ukulele, according to these photos by Darryll Jones . The South African photographer is shooting images of his beloved action figure posed in various scenarios, either performing mundane tasks, doing awesome stuff, or just chilling around, for a project called Have You Seen Eric . Darryll's delightful photo series began after he moved to the UK from South Africa six years ago. He didn't realize how dark and cold the winter days could be and he found himself confined to the indoors, with only a few LEGO Stormtroopers as companions. "I took a little LEGO Stormtrooper down, and I used my 105mm Macro Sigma lens, and started taking a few shots of him, Darryll told the Daily Dot . "I started making little movie posters and intricate setups that won a few daily deviation awards on deviantART, and from there it just took o...
