The Beautifully Haunting Creatures of Sabrina Gruss

Sabrina Gruss makes art that is anything but ordinary. Her work is both eerie and beautiful, tragicomic and poetic. Imagine if elves and fairies turned into zombies. Well, that's kinda like what the French artist has achieved with her macabre, yet strangely compelling sculptures.

Sabrina uses found natural materials, eroded objects, and animal remains. She takes her inspiration from her own family's history, the different perspectives on death, Lucian Freud and Francis Bacon. Below you'll find a selection her "creatures" and you can see many more at her website.

Yen Yen Lo's eye for the unique and whimsical is delightful. Apparently they are not intended for kids under 16. Fifteen-year-olds cannot be trusted with fragile stuff. Get them a Funko Pop instead.
