This book is a delightful tribute to the Wes Anderson aesthetic

Peculiar architecture and pastel-hued interiors bring to mind a Wes Anderson movie. In 2017, @accidentallywesanderson gained popularity online, dedicated to photos of interesting places that look like they could be straight out of one of his films.

Now Wally Koval, the man behind the popular IG account, has put the collection into a 368-page book that tells "the extraordinary and unexpected true stories behind more than two hundred stunning locations." It's hardcover, with sewn binding, and features a foreword by the great filmmaker himself. With the release of this book, I'm suddenly craving for that Wes Anderson vibe again.

The Adorable Sculptures of Yen Yen Lo

These images are from a series of wall sculptures created by Yen Yen Lo . Here you can see her intricately textured ceramic pieces, looking downright adorable. Yen Yen Lo's eye for the unique and whimsical is delightful. Apparently they are not intended for kids under 16. Fifteen-year-olds cannot be trusted with fragile stuff. Get them a Funko Pop instead.

Bats, Cats, and Dancing Skeletons

It’s now been fifty-eight years since Walt Disney died of lung cancer, and as a great way to remember his legacy is watch this short film he did in 1929. It’s truly impressive, and you can still see the impact he made on animation today.
