Blood and Day

Nothing ominous or threatening here, just some grainy black-and-white visuals and two fine-looking women tripping out. Perfect listening to help you relax after a long day, to keep you company through the wee small hours, and for drifting through the infinite realm.

Pandemic Pastime

Life has changed so much. I've been doing a lot of cooking and gardening since I've been home a lot. It turns out that I can live with less: no fast food, no parties, no hanging out at bars and coffee shops. New quarantine hobby: Cactus collecting. Having something to put energy into besides binge-watching can be a way to release stress. Anyway, here's Faithless.

When life gives you infinite quarantines, grow your own fruit tree.

One of my most satisfying activities is tending my garden. My front yard is flourishing with culinary herbs, fruits, and vegetables, and I don't think I'm ever going to tire of seeing home-sown seedlings. Here's the newest addition to my plant family. I don't really like the taste of guyabano (soursop) but findings suggest that it could be beneficial for those with diabetes, which runs in my family. Who would have thought that I would get into gardening? I could barely keep a mung bean plant alive in science class. For me gardening is a stress buster, and it feels cool to eat stuff you grew yourself.

David Sedaris is my sanity insurance.

I've always delighted in the stories and essays of David Sedaris, but if I'd never read Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim or When You Are Engulfed in Flames , I would pick up Let's Explore Diabetes With Owls on the basis of its title. This has been my best reading year so far. I've already read five books; two by Sedaris. During these times, who doesn't need a bit of his humor to brighten your day?
