A Towering Curve


The Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel in Filinvest City, Alabang, is a beautiful, modern landmark known for its unique, nature-centric architecture.


Inspired by an inverted white lily, the chapel's graceful curve stands in beautiful contrast to the sharp angles of nearby corporate buildings, symbolizing the purity of the Virgin Mary. Since opening in 2023, its towering design appears to open toward the heavens, creating a profoundly serene atmosphere.


More than just a place of worship, the chapel is a community hub with a big heart. It actively supports charitable causes, including Elsie Gaches Village, a facility for kids with developmental disabilities.


This architectural gem is a must-see, combining stunning design with a genuine mission of good. I highly recommend a visit.

Based in the UK, Richard is an internationally collected artist who works primarily with ink, fineliners, and gouache. When you first see his pieces, they actually look pretty playful. The Adorable Sculptures of Yen Yen Lo

These images are from a series of wall sculptures created by Yen Yen Lo . Here you can see her intricately textured ceramic pieces, looking downright adorable. Yen Yen Lo's eye for the unique and whimsical is delightful. Apparently they are not intended for kids under 16. Fifteen-year-olds cannot be trusted with fragile stuff. Get them a Funko Pop instead.

Katy Ann Gilmore is my new favorite on Instagram

Katy Ann Gilmore is a Los Angeles-based visual artist who specializes in making extraordinary illustrations on paper and large scale murals using micron and gel pens. Her elaborate line work is painstakingly methodical, layering strokes of the pen in varying directions to create amazing shapes and topography that look like they are covered with intricate mesh netting. I was wondering how many pen strokes does it take to complete just one of these drawings, so I did some research and found out that her small 5 in. by 7 in. illustrations typically take a few hours, while an 11 in. by 14 in. picture can take anywhere from 10-25 hours. "My hand does hurt a bit after marathon sessions, but never anything too crazy," she told Lisa Congdon. "I try to rest my eyes/hands/brain every once in awhile by looking away from the drawing, dropping the pen, and taking a breather."
